Finding what you're good at... {The Blog Dare}

It might sound like an easy task to find what you're good at, but some people find it a little hard. I think this is mostly due to society. Somewhere along the years we stopped letting people find what they are good at and going after that, we tell them to find what makes money and go after that.

Find what you love and do it.

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard is to find what love and do it. If you do what you love, you will love what you do. And when I was a teen and working my 50 million jobs I remember that the ones I got up for with pleasure and never called out (if I could help it), were the ones that I loved what I was doing. Working at Halloween stores, doing the Santa & Me pictures, working at TerrorDome, and Artcraft Camera. These were my favorite jobs, cause I loved what I did.

If you do what you love, you will love what you do.

I think that work should never be a chore, it shouldn't be something you dread going to and something you want to make excuses not to do. Not to mention that when you love what you do it's what you want to talk about all the time. More you talk about something, the more people hear about it, then it sticks in their head. They might want to kill you for it but they will remember you when they need something that you do.

What did I love about those jobs?
  • Playing with the costume props
  • Helping people play pretend with costumes
  • Making kids smile
  • Working with Santa cause duh
  • Dressing up
  • Halloween town!
  • Being outside on autumn nights
  • Hiking through the woods
  • Scaring people with spooky stories
  • Developing film
  • Working with film
  • Using Photoshop
  • Tons of cameras at my hands!
Also I got to work with fun guys like this at TerrorDome =]
