What's your Darkest Mercy?

I absolutely love Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely series. I fell for Wicked Lovely, and read them all, some of them multiple times. I love her blend of Irish faerie lore and modern day. She's taken the old faerie courts and transplanted them into modern day, without updating them too much. I just finished the final book, Darkest Mercy, and I'm sad to see them go, this will probably become one of my favorite re-reads.

In this final book, we find everyone in slight disarray from the acts of War in the book before, Radiant Shadows, the only ones not affected are the ones now locked in Faerie. Seth comes through to see Ash and to set right what he can. Niall is going mad with grief from losing Irial. Ash is trying to hold it together while her Summer King Keenan has disappeared, unknowingly to anyone else trying to gather allies for his court. Donia is trying to figure out how best to work with the other courts to set things right, while wanting a passion with Keenan. Gabriel is trying to serve his king and mourn his daughter, and his two kids locked in Faerie. And War is gathering faeries while trying to get one court to declare war on another. Through this all, Far Dorcha, the Dark Man is in town.

I'm going to try my best, not to give too much away, cause I really want this book to be a surprise to it's readers. I loved it, I could almost see how some things were going to turn out, but many twists that I couldn't foresee happened. It is one of the best endings I could think for my favorite cast of characters, despite losing some along the way.

If you love faerie tales, Irish faerie lore, a good book with some twists and turns, passion, love and fights, this is a great series.
